When Activision announced that the Ricochet anti-cheat system would be deployed during the Season 1 update in Call of Duty Warzone everyone sighed with relief that the game will be enjoyable again without looking over your shoulder searching for hackers.<\/p>\n

We actually enjoyed a good run when the system hit the ground running just about a week after the Season dropped in early December but we have had a resurgence of cheaters as of late.<\/p>\n

As the hacking problem has not been resolved since COD Warzone came out in 2020, players have been sceptic about the Ricochet system and now they have even more arguments to do so.<\/p>\n

Before the tropical Island of Caldera arrived with the Season 1 update of Warzone Pacific, Verdansk was already suffering from matches full of hackers that drove away players by the bunch as the playing experience started to become unbearable and frustrating.<\/p>\n

When the Ricochet anti-cheat system was announced people started to hope to go back to the early days of the game where the playing field was levelled and the winners relied solely on their shooting skills.<\/p>\n

Regardless of the social media platform you use the most, you can search the “ricochet warzone” keywords and you will see a flood of users complaining<\/a> of a sudden rise of hackers within matches which obviously has ticked some people off.<\/p>\n

Activision or any other game developer has yet to release a statement but it should come soon enough before the conversation continues to snowball and the number of active players starts to decrease.<\/p>\n

With the Vanguard fluke sales numbers, a sudden shrinkage of players is something the franchise cannot allow to happen so it is plausible to see something to be done about it in the near future.<\/p>\n
