Dying Light 2: Stay Human<\/a> releases globally on 4th February 2022 and is the highly anticipated sequel to Techland’s original popular ARPG zombie survival horror game launched roughly seven years ago.<\/p>\n

The game will feature more than 500 hours of gameplay<\/a>, during which time players must arm themselves against the ever-pressing threat of the undead. So naturally, players might be wondering if guns are available in Dying Light 2 or whether the game will be solely melee-focussed.<\/p>\n

Unlike the original, there will not be any guns in Dying Light 2. Well, that’s technically not true. There is a handmade “Broomstick” shotgun; however, it’s not very effective and can only be unlocked by crafting. In addition to this, it’s challenging to find ammunition, so it might not be worth using anyway.<\/p>\n

Why are there no guns in Dying Light 2?<\/h3>\n

According to lead designer Tymon Smektała, the lack of guns in Dying Light 2 is because the viral outbreak destroyed civilization. This resulted in no skilled people being left alive to craft advanced weaponry.<\/p>\n
