(Picture: @FireTheGull)<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>Indeed, this could all be a massive coincidence, and an actual Overwatch 2 beta announcement may happen down the line.<\/p>\n<p>However, it&#8217;s worth remembering that Blizzard remains committed to its esports partners, namely the owners of all Overwatch League teams, and promised that 2022 would employ a beta client of the sequel.<\/p>\n<p>Beyond this, Blizzard even <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ginx.tv\/en\/overwatch\/owl-2022-scheduled-for-april-start-to-be-played-in-early-overwatch-2-build\">confirmed April as a starting date for OWL 2022<\/a>. (Picture: Blizzard Entertainment)<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>Some pros have already had hands-on time with the sequel, with an <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ginx.tv\/en\/overwatch\/owl-grand-finals-to-feature-overwatch-2-exhibition-match-between-pros\">exhibition match played<\/a> during last year&#8217;s Overwatch League grand finals.<\/p>\n<p>However, gameplay for the sequel has been nonexistent since then, causing a bit of unconformity within several teams.
