In recent times, one of the names that have grown massively within the gaming industry has been miHoYo, the Chinese developing company behind the successful RPG title Genshin Impact, and which since its release back in September 2020 has attracted millions of players worldwide.<\/p>\n

As the game is now set to receive its 2.5 update, featuring Yae Miko and new features<\/a> for the Inazuma region, miHoYo has taken this chance to announce the official launch of their all-new, forward-thinking rebrand, HoYoverse.<\/p>\n

According to the press release found on their company website<\/a>, the brand has set its goals “to create and deliver an immersive virtual world experience to players worldwide through a variety of entertainment services.”<\/p>\n

As such, HoYoverse has already had some experience within other media besides Genshin Impact, including their other mobile titles Honkai Impact 3rd, Honkai: Star Rail, and Tears of Themis, and even the release of their virtual AI Lumi and the N0va Desktop App.<\/p>\n

“Our mission in establishing HoYoverse is to create a vast and content-driven virtual world that integrates games, anime, and other diverse types of entertainment, which will provide players with a high level of freedom and immersion,” said Haoyu Cai, co-founder and CEO of HoYoverse.<\/p>\n

“We will continue to focus on long-term operation strategies, consistent technical research, and innovation in a variety of fields, including artificial intelligence, cloud computing, and pipeline construction, to ensure that sufficient content is created to meet the expectations of players worldwide for a virtual world experience.”<\/p>\n

They have also confirmed that after a long time working only in China, they will also expand its content production, technology research, and publishing duties through operations with offices in Montreal, Los Angeles, Singapore, Tokyo, and Seoul.<\/p>\n

Looking at the full announcement, we can see they are already working on something to expand the universe of all of their titles, so it shouldn’t be strange if we could see an anime, manga, light novels, music, and more about Genshin Impact and other HoYoverse related games in the near future.<\/p>\n

For now, the new brand can already be found in all of the games’ social accounts<\/a>, so it’s expected their logos and icons in the app markets will be updated very soon. Meanwhile, we can also find some mentions of COGNOSPHERE, the company’s former name for their overseas publisher based in Singapore.<\/p>\n
