When talking about League of Legends competitive and its most important icons, one of the names that usually come up in any conversation is Lee “Faker” Sang-hyeok, a Korean player ranked as the best of all time<\/a> in Riot Games’ MOBA.<\/p>\n

This statement is not far from reality, taking into account all his accolades, including three world championships, two Mid-Season Invitationals, ten regional titles, and countless individual records collected in his career as part of SK Telecom and T1.<\/p>\n

Now in this list, we can include another unprecedented achievement, as this legendary player managed to be the second in the history of LoL esports to play 1,000 games in official tournaments.<\/p>\n

Almost poetically, the feat was achieved in a best-of-three series against KT Rolster, a team with a long history within the LCK and with which there is a long rivalry between both squads, known as the “Telecom Wars.”<\/p>\n

Interestingly, during the first game of the series, KT put T1 on the ropes by taking several kills early in the game, though Faker’s squad was quick to respond with a good counterattack and great rotations.<\/p>\n

As the game progressed, T1 was able to charge on several occasions, gaining pressure on all lanes and catching their opponents off guard, who were barely able to respond to the enemy’s offense without falling behind on the scoreboard.<\/p>\n

Despite their attempts to defend the last structures standing, by the 22nd minute, T1 had already managed to penetrate KT’s base with the Baron buff, so it was only a matter of time before their nexus fell and they secured the first point.<\/p>\n

The second game was a total contrast since KT could not recover from the emotional blow received in the previous duel and was vulnerable against the opponents. T1 would take advantage of this in a significant way by having complete control of the map, taking kills everywhere, and getting the victory in just 21 minutes.<\/p>\n

For now, T1 remains the only undefeated in the LCK 2022 Spring Split, and they are inching closer to clinching their spot in the playoffs. Meanwhile, the roster commanded by the “Unkillable Demon King” will continue to bring out its full potential, seeking to be champions and make history again.<\/p>\n
