There have been some surprises for Riot Games fans recently, with many hints ahead of the first Masters tournament of the VALORANT Champions Tour 2022, and its possible arrival to Reykyavík, Iceland<\/a> once again.<\/p>\n

Now, fans of the competitive League of Legends will be pleased to know the first revealed details of the Mid-Season Invitational (MSI) 2022, the second biggest tournament of the League of Legends competitive calendar has been revealed. According to reports from Dot Esports<\/a>, the Mid-Season Invitational 2022 will arrive at South Korea for the first time ever.<\/p>\n

According to the report, sources close to this outlet confirmed the arrival of the event in South Korea between the months of April and May, also being the first international tournament to be hosted here since the League of Legends World Championship back in 2018.<\/p>\n

The arrival of the MSI in South Korea would also mark the return of this competition to this part of the world, after being held in Brazil, Vietnam and Europe in previous years.<\/p>\n

The pandemic could affect the development of MSI<\/h2>\n

However, this should not be taken for granted at the moment, since increases in COVID-19 cases have recently been reported in this country, reaching 360,000 confirmed cases<\/a> by 13th February, so the final decision could have some changes.<\/p>\n

No details were released about the venues from which the teams will play, although it’s expected everything will take place in a single venue regardless of the host country, to avoid inconveniences and prevent the transmission of the virus.<\/p>\n

So as with the VALORANT Masters Reykyavík 2022, we will have to wait for the official announcement by Riot Games in the coming days, but looking at the recent comments from other figures of the League of Legends competitive scene, the return of the Mid-Season Invitational to Asia could be imminent.<\/p>\n
