Crafting weapons in Destiny 2 is a game-changer for new and long time players. Removing the RNG barrier that depending on random drops brought, making the process of earning a god roll completely transparent is terrific.<\/p>\n

Of course, earning the key items you need to craft weapons consistently is not easy, making it an entire new grind for those looking to take advantage of the Enclave.<\/p>\n

We’ve talked about earning Neutral Element<\/a>, but Ascendant Alloy is just if not more important. So let’s take a look at how to best farm Ascendant Alloy in Destiny 2.<\/p>\n

How to farm Ascendant Alloy in Destiny 2<\/h2>\n

Ascendant Alloy is a very important component of the weapon crafting system in Destiny 2. Unlike Resonant Alloy, which is used for equipping intrinsic perks, Ascendant Alloy is a must for those players looking to upgrade their crafted weapons, as they are required to unlock enhanced traits.<\/p>\n

They are harder to get but this does not mean there aren’t plenty of avenues to get your hands on some much needed Ascendant Alloy.<\/p>\n

Reach Rank 16 with the Gunsmith<\/h3>\n

There are two ways to get your hands on Ascendant Alloy at the Tower. One is to grind Banshee-44’s ranks. You can do this by completing daily bounties, which usually revolve around getting kills with a certain type of weapon, subclass, or ability, and by dismantling gear. <\/p>\n

Buy one from Master Rahool<\/h3>\n

The iconic Cryptarch now has some goods in store for Guardians, including one Ascendant Alloy per account each week. It costs 400 Legendary Shards so it’s not cheap by any means.<\/p>\n

The campaign will have some replayability this time around as players can get their hands on Ascendant Alloy by doing the story missions once again after each weekly reset on Tuesdays. Keep in mind these are not guaranteed drops.<\/p>\n

The Wellspring Activity<\/h3>\n

The DLC activity in the Throne World also gives out Ascendant Alloy as a reward upon completion. Similar to doing story missions, these are not guaranteed drops.<\/p>\n

It remains to be seen if Ascendant Alloy will drop from any other sources, including Gambit, Crucible, or Vanguard Strikes. The Nightfall menu does not list the item as potential rewards, so it may be only restricted to activities in the Throne World.<\/p>\n
