The last of the Rocket League Championship Series’ four regions to kick off this season, the Lets Play Live Rocket League Oceanic Championship, Oceania’s regular season, starts this weekend. After a tumultuous offseason, eight teams are set to go head-to-head as they fight for a spot at the World Championship in Dallas<\/a>.<\/p>\n

The RLCS Season 9 Oceanic Championship will have a $75,000 prize pool – up 50% from last season, showing the strength in one of Rocket Leagues most promising regions.<\/p>\n

RLCS Oceania – The Teams<\/h2>\n

Undoubtedly the favourites to take the first of the two World Championship spots is reigning regional champions Renegades. With long-time member Daniel “Torsos” Parsons being replaced by fan-favourite Cameron “CJCJ” Johns, the Detroit-based organisation will be hoping to go one better than their 7-8th finish at Madrid’s World Championship back in December.<\/p>\n

After departing from the Renegades roster, Torsos has formed one of Renegades’ strongest contenders. With ex-teammate Matthew “Drippay” Den-Kaat and former Canberra Havoc third Blake “SPYDOGE” Evans by his side, Cringe Society will be looking to mark Drippay’s first RLCS Finals visit since Chiefs’ top-four run all the way back in season six.<\/p>\n

Joining those two powerhouse rosters are last season’s surprise package Canberra Havoc, a new-and-improved Ground Zero roster, the newly signed FURY, Mindfreak and Esper lineups and former Renegades star Aidan “ZeN” Hui’s newest lineup, Noizee Isn’t Toxic.<\/p>\n

Every team will have their eyes on the two RLCS World Championship spots up for grabs, but the first step will be making top four in League Play.<\/p>\n

RLCS Season 9 Oceania Schedule<\/h2>\n

Each week of League Play commences at 23:00 GMT (00:00 CET \/ 10:00 AEDT) on Saturday evenings, shortly before NA League Play draws to a close. Each of the seven weeks of League Play has four matches, with the top four teams qualifying for the LAN finals in Auckland on April 11-12th.<\/p>\n

How can I watch Rocket League Oceania Championship?<\/h2>\n

The LPL RLOC is broadcast on Lets Play Live’s Twitch<\/a> channel every week, with the finals being broadcast out of LPL’s Auckland studios. As of now, it is unknown whether tickets will be available for the Regional Championship, but last time around LPL hosted an official viewing party for fans hoping to catch the action live.<\/p>\n

The first series of the season starts on Saturday night, with Noizee Isn’t Toxic and FURY facing off to kick off what promises to be another thrilling season of Oceanic Rocket League.
