It seems like ages ago since Overwatch 2 was officially unveiled to the world back at BlizzCon 2019. Since then, Blizzard Entertainment has seen its massive share of controversies that have severely impacted the development of many of its franchises.<\/p>\n

Overwatch appeared destined for irrelevancy, with no major updates to the first game since the release of Echo in early 2020, the FPS has a dwindling player base that’s slowly growing impatient.<\/p>\n

The hope that the announcement of the Overwatch League 2022 being played on the sequel was quickly fading away as we entered March with no follow-up news. That is, until now. <\/p>\n

Surprising the entire gaming community, Blizzard Entertainment officially revealed information regarding the upcoming Overwatch 2 PvP beta, including how to opt-in, and when it’s going to go down.<\/p>\n

Via an Overwatch 2 developer update YouTube video, game director Aaron Keller explained that the devs have split the PvP and PvE modes in order to bring competitive play sooner to players. <\/p>\n
