“You now have an Overshield on top of your Shield and Health. The Overshield is your first line of defence: before your Shield and Health take a hit, it’s your Overshield that’ll crack. Your Overshield will still recover if it goes all the way down to 0,” the patch notes<\/a> read.<\/p>\n
If you’re wondering if this change will affect competitive lobbies, then don’t worry, it won’t. Epic Games confirmed that Building is unaffected in competitive or Arena playlists and Team Rumble and Creative Islands.<\/p>\n

Epic Games teased the change in the Fortnite Chapter 3 Season 2 Resistance’s story trailer, although the hint was incredibly subtle.<\/p>\n
