Ghostwire: Tokyo will be officially released in just a few days, 25th March to be exact, but the deluxe edition allows players to access the title three days prior to launch.

The game features protagonist Akito who will be the main character controlled by the player. A mystery will need to be uncovered as to why the city has been overtaken by a supernatural element, removing humans from the streets.

Akito will face numerous opponents throughout the dark, miserable environment of Tokyo. Akito will fight using his bow, as well as his Ethereal Weaving magic skill to uncover the answers to the mystery.

Ghostwire: Tokyo will be available on both PC and PlayStation 5 platforms at first release, cementing that it is indeed a PlayStation exclusive (for consoles). There is obviously time for later releases on alternative platforms, but at the moment, it does not appear that Ghostwire: Tokyo will be coming to Xbox.

Though it is worth noting that the game’s publisher is Bethesda, an entity owned by none other than Microsoft. With this in mind, a future Xbox release for the game is certainly something to keep tabs on.

First announced during the E3 showcase of Bethesda in 2019, developers Tango Gameworks spearheaded the creation of the Ghostwire: Tokyo. Of course, Tango Gameworks is also the mind behind games such as Evil Within in 2014, and its sequel, Evil Within 2 in 2017.
