Be sure to empty that bladder and get an extra-large popcorn on 6th May 2022, as Doctor Strange and the Multiverse of Madness’ rumoured runtime makes it one of the longest Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) films to date. <\/p>\n

Starring Benedict Cumberbatch as Stephen Strange, Elizabeth Olsen as Wanda Maximoff aka the Scarlet Witch and a host of other MCU characters, it is set to be one of the biggest and most thrilling rides Marvel Studios and director Sam Raimi has ever produced. Now, it appears that the runtime for Doctor Strange and the Multiverse of Madness has been revealed.<\/p>\n

How long is Doctor Strange and the Multiverse of Madness?<\/h2>\n

According to the Brazilian ticket website Ingresso<\/a>, Doctor Strange and the Multiverse of Madness has a runtime of 148 minutes. That’s two hours and 28 minutes long.<\/p>\n

This would put the film’s length on par with Spider-Man: No Way Home. Only three other MCU films have longer runtimes, with Avengers: Infinity War at 149 minutes, Eternals at 157 minutes and Avengers: Endgame at 181 minutes. <\/p>\n

    Fans have already spotted several characters who have never appeared in the MCU, and simply introducing all of them should take a bit of time. While this answers the question of how long Doctor Strange and the Multiverse of Madness is, we can’t help but wonder if this runtime includes post-credit scenes or not. Either way, we are all in for a treat.<\/p>\n

    Speaking to Deadline in an interview<\/a>, Benedict Cumberbatch called the film massive, stating:  “It’s been tough. I’ll be honest with you. It’s had quite a journey, this film. But not in a kind of poor me way, just like the nature of where we’re at.<\/p>\n

    “To try and make a massive film like that under the constrictions of a pandemic and the delays that have ensued, partly because of The Power of the Dog, but also because of everything that was lined up and had to be pushed back from Marvel. It’s been tough for everyone. Also, incredibly enjoyable and no less enjoyable than the first one.”<\/p>\n
