 <\/span>We’ve been waiting for it for a long time but finally, Psyonix is letting tournament organizers put together events with high prize pools. <\/p>\n

<\/div>\n

The brainchild of John “JohnnyBoi_i” MacDonald and INCIVIK, the founder of Sandrock Gaming, The European Invitational is a tournament featuring all the European RLCS teams, five qualified European RLRS teams, and a wild card side from Saudi Arabia, Sandrock Gaming.<\/p>\n

Teams will battle it out for a share of the $20,000 prize pool and the chance to be crowned champions of the inaugural European Invitational.<\/p>\n

The tournament kicks off tonight (3rd March), and will run throughout the month of March with games being played from 5 pm on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays. <\/p>\n

The Grand Finals will be held on Saturday the 28th March at 17:00 pm GMT.<\/p>\n

The European Invitational will be played exclusively online with all the action being broadcast live on JohnnyBoi_i’s Twitch channel.<\/p>\n

Rocket League: The European Invitational Format & Schedule<\/h2>\n

 <\/p>\n

The tournament will be played across four weeks – with the group stage taking two weeks to complete and the playoffs two weeks.<\/p>\n

Group Stage – 3rd – 12th March<\/h3>\n

The 16 teams will be split into four groups of four. Each team will play each other once in a Best of 5 – with the top 2 teams from each group earning a place in the Playoffs.<\/p>\n

Playoffs – 17th – 25th March<\/h3>\n

The playoffs will be a double-elimination bracket with all games being a Best of 7 excluding the Winners’ Round 1 which will be a Best of 5.<\/p>\n

The Grand Finals – 28th March<\/h3>\n

The Grand Finals which will be held on the 28th March will be a Bo9 with the team entering through the Winners’ Finals receiving a game advantage. No bracket reset.<\/p>\n
