Through photos and merchandising, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ginx.tv\/en\/marvel\">Marvel<\/a> has revealed that the antagonist in Thor: Love and Thunder will be Gorr the God Butcher.<\/p>\n<p>Gorr will be making his first appearance in the Marvel Cinematic Universe as a villain that returns from the Thor Marvel comics. He and his people suffered greatly on the planet and worshiped the gods in hope of salvation.<\/p>\n<p>After the death of his wife and children, Gorr denounced his faith in the gods and was exiled away from living with his people. While in exile, Gorr comes across two gods fighting and one of them asks him for help.<\/p>\n<p>Gorr is enraged by the god asking him for help when he&rsquo;d never received any himself. After slaying the god who asked him for help, he vowed to kill all gods to create a godless universe. Gorr traveled the timelines slaying gods and growing stronger.<\/p>\n<p>Throughout time, Gorr and Thor faced off several times and each encounter brought one or both close to death. Thor cut off Gorr&rsquo;s arm during their first fight.<\/p>\n<p>Gorr fled and continued to grow in strength while traveling from planet to planet. Once strong enough, Gorr used the blood of the TIme Gods to go back and kill an Elder God granting him massive power.<\/p>\n<p>He returned to the present time and enslaved gods to help him begin construction on the god bomb which would kill all gods across the timestream. The symbiote gives him immortality, regeneration, super strength, and flight.<\/p>\n<p>Gorr also gained the ability to create an army of Black Berserkers who are semi-sentient symbiote creatures. After thousands of years of fighting gods, Gorr is an experienced combatant.
