We&rsquo;re disabling him immediately while we work to address a bug that allowed him to cause other players to crash,&#8221; the PlayOverwatch Twitter account shared.<\/p>\n<p>As it turns out, a small oversight with the game&#8217;s code makes it so Wrecking Ball can literally shut the lobby down for every single player in it, except the person playing the character.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h2>Why was Wrecking Ball disabled from the Overwatch 2 beta?<\/h2>\n<figure class=\"img-figure\" contenteditable=\"false\"><img decoding=\"async\" style=\"width: 100%;\" contenteditable=\"false\" src=\"https:\/\/cdn-cf.ginx.tv\/imgcdn\/mf_e7RtX_EHYjkgipWUtChik6M1DbSEBBPLT7rXItQI\/rs:fill:0:0:1\/g:ce\/aHR0cHM6Ly93d3cuZ2lueC50di91cGxvYWRzMi9TbWFzaC9wbGF5b3cucG5n\" alt=\"overwatch disables wrecking ball\" width=\"815\" height=\"429\" loading=\"lazy\"><figcaption contenteditable=\"false\">The official Overwatch Twitter account announced that Wrecking Ball was being disabled from the Overwatch 2 beta. (Picture: Blizzard Entertainment)<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>As we&#8217;ve mentioned, Wrecking Ball can cause a whole lobby to disconnect from a match. What makes the issue even more egregious is that the player doesn&#8217;t even have to do a particularly hard input to do so.<\/p>\n<p>In fact, it can be done accidentally without meaning to cause harm. You just simply need to jump and activate Wrecking Ball&#8217;s grappling hook on any surface to cause massive disconnects to occur.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Some Overwatch pro and content creators have run into this issue with hilarious results.
