Even though the Call of Duty League<\/a> just took a month-long break, the action has already picked back up and we’re looking ahead to Major III. Currently, the Major III qualifiers are taking place in an online environment. These matches essentially determine which teams start in the winner’s bracket and where they are seeded. The first week of qualifiers has just concluded, which had OpTic Texas going 2-0 while the defending champion LA Guerrillas went winless. Of course, there are still three more weeks to play and anything can happen. After these three weeks, Major III will commence in Toronto, Canada.<\/p>\n

The Toronto Ultra will be the hosts for Major III starting on 2nd June. The event will conclude on 5th June with one team taking home a $200,000 winner’s prize. Each team will also earn a specific amount of CDL Points depending on where they finish. Winner’s bracket teams will play in a double-elimination bracket while the loser’s bracket teams only have one loss to spare. With the event only a couple of weeks away, we’re going to go over all of the pertinent details you need to know when you tune in.<\/p>\n

As previously stated, Major III will start on 2nd June, which is a Thursday. This day will have the eight winner’s bracket teams going head-to-head in four separate matches. The next day, Friday will see the four loser’s bracket teams fighting for their lives as well as some second-round loser’s bracket matches.<\/p>\n
