According to a Variety report published on 19th May 2022, a new Daredevil series is currently “in the works” with executive producers Matt Corman and Chris Ord and will be available exclusively on the streaming platform Disney+.

While Marvel hasn’t confirmed the show’s release, this latest news pretty much confirms fan speculation regarding a reboot of the popular Marvel title, which was promptly canceled by Netflix in 2018 after three short seasons, along with the rest of its Marvel IPs.

New Disney+ Daredevil series is currently in the works

Variety noted that rumors about Disney+ acquiring a new Daredevil series have “persisted for some time.” This follows after Matt Murdock (played by actor Charlie Cox) made an unexpected cameo appearance as Peter Parker’s lawyer in Spider-Man: No Way Home last year.

Similarly, fellow Daredevil star Vincent D’Onofrio also reprised his role as Wilson Fisk, better known as Kingpin, in the Disney+ series Hawkeye. Interestingly, Netflix’s Daredevil was not formally associated with the Marvel Cinematic Universe, yet both Charlie Cox and Vincent D’Onofrio appeared in recent Marvel projects.
