Aerodactyl has been a fan favorite in Pokémon<\/a> for a long time, and that sentiment has never changed within Pokémon GO. But the ancient Flying and Rock-type is hard to catch within the Mobile game.<\/p>\n

Not only is this Pokémon rare compared to much of the Kanto Pokédex, but there is only one main form. That means no catching more common versions, and much of the time, players need to wait for a major event. However, there are a few ways that you can obtain one yourself when the opportunity arrives in Pokémon GO.<\/p>\n

Catching an Aerodactyl Pokemon Go used to be much easier when the Pokédex was much smaller in Pokémon GO. Not only was it far more common for the ancient Pokémon to appear in the wild, but it was also a part of some of the rare eggs in the game. They could be hatched for a chance at the Flying-type.<\/p>\n

Because the Let’s GO, Meltan research still requires an Aerodactyl catch, new players will likely still need one. Some research, like battling in five different raids, will offer up the ancient Pokémon as an encounter reward, but those are few and far between. Instead, you may need to wait for two different variables.<\/p>\n
