{"id":31905,"date":"2022-05-31T04:53:12","date_gmt":"2022-05-31T04:53:12","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.ginx.tv\/star-wars-obi-wan-kenobi-series-inquisitors"},"modified":"2024-07-19T12:51:30","modified_gmt":"2024-07-19T12:51:30","slug":"star-wars-obi-wan-kenobi-series-inquisitors","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.ginx.tv\/en\/star-wars-obi-wan-kenobi-series-inquisitors","title":{"rendered":"Star Wars Obi-Wan Kenobi Series &#8211; Who Are The Inquisitors?"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>That the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ginx.tv\/en\/star-wars\">Star Wars<\/a> lore has expanded way beyond the main series of films is a known fact, however, Disney has tried to incorporate more characters and locations from beyond movies into their new canon.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Obi-Wan Kenobi, the long-awaited limited series that sets to connect the iconic Jedi&#8217;s journey following the aftermath of Episode III: Revenge of the Sith leading up to Episode IV: A New Hope, re-introduces a faction of villains recognisable by the most loyal of Star War fans but perhaps are a new threat for more casual ones, the Inquisitors.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>This villainous coalition has appeared in a ton of Star Wars stories across several types of media, including comics, animated shows, and video games, but they&#8217;re finally making their debut in a live-action format.<\/p>\n<h2>Who are the Inquisitors in Star Wars?<\/h2>\n<figure class=\"img-figure\" contenteditable=\"false\"><img decoding=\"async\" style=\"width: 100%;\" contenteditable=\"false\" src=\"https:\/\/cdn-cf.ginx.tv\/imgcdn\/1qrqDs6q4PpyPV33dyNYcnV0B5Eu1Lf5O_22iy8TUtc\/rs:fill:0:0:1\/g:ce\/aHR0cHM6Ly93d3cuZ2lueC50di91cGxvYWRzMi9EZXN0aW55XzIvYzAwMjgzNjZjMjIxMzY0ZTU2ZjY1MWNmMmI1ODBmOGYxZTYyNzYwMy0xNjkyeDEwNDIucG5n\" alt=\"obi wan inquisitors\" width=\"1024\" height=\"576\" loading=\"lazy\"><figcaption contenteditable=\"false\">The Inquisitors are a known threat to the Jedi. (Picture: Disney)<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>Despite what you might think after watching the first two episodes of the Obi-Wan Kenobi series, the Inquisitors are not actually Sith. All of them are Force-sensitive, in fact, the majority of them are former Jedi that fell into the Dark side and is recruited by the newly formed Empire to hunt down their former allies.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Their first appearance in Star Wars media came during the Star Wars Rebels: Spark of Rebellion animated film which served as a prelude to the eventual animate show. Other major appearances the group is also known for are the Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order video game, in which several members serve as the main antagonists, and the Darth Vader comic book from 2017.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.ginx.tv\/en\/star-wars\/star-wars-obi-wan-kenobi-episode-list-runtimes\"><strong>Star Wars Obi-Wan Kenobi &ndash; Episode list, runtimes, and more<\/strong><\/a><\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.ginx.tv\/en\/star-wars\/obi-wan-kenobi-star-wars-titles-to-watch\"><strong>Obi-Wan Kenobi watchlist &ndash; Star Wars titles to watch<\/strong><\/a><\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.ginx.tv\/en\/star-wars\/star-wars-game-in-development\"><strong>Every Star Wars game currently in development<\/strong><\/a><\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.ginx.tv\/en\/star-wars\/lego-star-wars-skywalker-saga-wampa\"><strong>How to Unlock the Wampa in LEGO Star Wars The Skywalker Saga<\/strong><\/a><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>While we don&#8217;t have a confirmed number of Inquisitors, we know the identities of the ones that have appeared so far in the Obi-Wan Kenobi series. These are:&nbsp;<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>The Grand Inquisitor<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>Fifth Brother<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>Third Sister<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>As we&#8217;ve mentioned, plenty of other Inquisitors are instantly recognisable to fans of Star Wars, including the Seventh Sister, who is one of the main villains of Star Wars Rebels. The Second and Ninth Sisters appear as antagonists to Cal Kestis in Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Viewers of Obi-Wan Kenobi have been particularly curious about the Third Sister&#8217;s obsession with the former Jedi Master. (Picture: Disney)<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>It wouldn&#8217;t surprise us that the Third Sister will have deep ties with Kenobi or the Jedi Order as a whole.
