Every season brings new weapon tuning to the game, and that typically translates to a shift in the overall SMG tier list.<\/p>\n<p>How the weapons go up or down in tiers can depend on a couple of different factors. The first is changes to the base stats of the weapon, with or without any augments. The second is changes to the attachments instead, which can alter the effectiveness of a given SMG. (Picture: Activision)<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>Submachine guns are arguably the most dominant weapons in COD Mobile, so picking the right one from a Season 5 tier list can make a massive difference in your own games. It makes them hard to deal with, especially when playing against the S-tier to A-tier options. In Season 5, most of the tiers have remained similar, but some guns have changed in their effectiveness.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Tier rank description:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>S-Tier:<\/strong>&nbsp;This tier usually consists of the most popular weapons, and for good reason. These are picks that most competitive players will continue to use until something better comes along. They are nearly flawless.<\/li>\n<li><strong>A-Tier:<\/strong>&nbsp;These Submachine Guns come close to S-Tier, and much of the time the line is blurred. But in a fight with two equal players, the top-tier weapons are going to have the edge in consistency and power.<\/li>\n<li><strong>B-Tier:<\/strong>&nbsp;Here you&#8217;ll find the middle tier of the Submachine Guns. These would still be considered usable, but they will certainly need the right attachments. Expect to lose some uneven fights.<\/li>\n<li><strong>C-Tier:<\/strong> This is where weapons start to lose quality. Attachments can help these, but they are mostly for fun. Some great plays in close quarters can be pulled off, but they are going to lose a lot of fights. High TTK and bullet spread are usually the problems.<\/li>\n<li><strong>D-Tier:<\/strong> Any weapon in this category should be avoided. They aren&#8217;t competitive, and because of their lack of power, they are also usually not fun. However, they can be great for variety and loadout experiments if that&#8217;s your style.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Note:<\/strong> This SMG tier list for COD Mobile Season 5 is based on the latest patch notes set to go live. The goal is to create a list that accurately reflects the meta and the changes being implemented to the weapons. Each one of them has an incredibly fast TTK with next to no recoil. (Picture: Activision)<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"list-style-type: disc;\"><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">GKS&nbsp;<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"list-style-type: disc;\"><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">AGR 556<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"list-style-type: disc;\"><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">Cordite<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">As always, the B-Tier weapons are the middle-of-the-line options. Consistency is their best trait, but they shoot just a bit too slow to best the other options above. These are still usable, but they will certainly lose up against something like a QQ9.<\/span><\/p>\n<h2>C-Tier submachine guns in COD Mobile Season 5<\/h2>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"list-style-type: disc;\"><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">Pharo<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"list-style-type: disc;\"><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">Razorback<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"list-style-type: disc;\"><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">HG 40<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">In this tier, the weapon options all have one trait that saves them from being at the bottom of the barrel. Whether it&#8217;s burst damage or high accuracy, that niche trait can help you in specific scenarios. (Picture: Activision)<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"list-style-type: disc;\"><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">PDW-57&nbsp;<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"list-style-type: disc;\"><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">Chicom&nbsp;<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">This is the bottom tier and the last two submachine guns here don&#8217;t have much to offer in COD Mobile Season 5. Though the Chicom has had recent changes, they weren&#8217;t enough to make a dent in the meta. Unfortunately, the PDW also gets left behind.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">Considering how short the seasons are, it&#8217;s not likely this tier list will change before Season 7.
