But in the second episode of the show, the Inquisitor&#8217;s dynamic changes, and some are wondering if there is a plothole within the universe. Below there are going to be plenty of spoilers, so head back if you want to avoid them.<\/p>\n<p>In Episode 2 of Obi-Wan Kenobi, the Grand Inquisitor is killed by one of his own. Reva is hungry for power and after too much pressure, she sends her saber through the torso of the Grand Inquisitor. Of course, on-screen, it looks like he died and he could be gone for good.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h2>Is the Grand Inquisitor really dead in Obi-Wan Kenobi?<\/h2>\n<figure class=\"img-figure\" contenteditable=\"false\"><img decoding=\"async\" style=\"width: 100%;\" contenteditable=\"false\" src=\"https:\/\/cdn-cf.ginx.tv\/imgcdn\/XYdKns6NtAvsEcnix-cPyMOX5WwO4LnluqG-PrDxNDE\/rs:fill:0:0:1\/g:ce\/aHR0cHM6Ly93d3cuZ2lueC50di91cGxvYWRzMi9TdGFyX1dhcnMvR3JhbmRJbnF1aXN0b3JPYmlXYW4uanBn\" alt=\"Grand Inquisitor\" width=\"800\" height=\"450\" loading=\"lazy\"><figcaption contenteditable=\"false\">The Grand Inquisitor as he appears in Star Wars Rebels. (Picture: Lucasfilm)<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>With the death of the Grand Inquisitor as we know it in Episode 2, there are a lot of questions brought forward for the Obi-Wan Kenobi show. First and foremost is the question of how legitimate his death is.<\/p>\n<p>From the injury he gets, it&#8217;s hard to assume that he survives. However, it&#8217;s well known in Star Wars that characters can survive some gruesome injuries, especially with cybernetics and a Bacta Tank nearby. In this case, though, we don&#8217;t see that.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.ginx.tv\/en\/star-wars\/star-wars-obi-wan-kenobi-episode-list-runtimes\"><strong>Star Wars Obi-Wan Kenobi &ndash; Episode list, runtimes, and more<\/strong><\/a><\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.ginx.tv\/en\/star-wars\/obi-wan-kenobi-star-wars-titles-to-watch\"><strong>Obi-Wan Kenobi watchlist &ndash; Star Wars titles to watch<\/strong><\/a><\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.ginx.tv\/en\/star-wars\/star-wars-game-in-development\"><strong>Every Star Wars game currently in development<\/strong><\/a><\/li>\n<li><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.ginx.tv\/en\/star-wars\/star-wars-obi-wan-kenobi-series-inquisitors\">Star Wars Obi-Wan Kenobi Series &#8211; Who Are The Inquisitors?<\/a><\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>In Episode 3 of Obi-Wan, the most recent at the time of this writing, Reva speaks to Darth Vader about the situation very early on. She tells Vader that the Grand Inquisitor was taken out by Obi-Wan and that he didn&#8217;t make it. With that in mind, that means he likely didn&#8217;t receive any medical attention.<\/p>\n<p>While it might not seem like a big deal to viewers who are new to Star Wars Rebels lore, this potential death can muddy up the lore that has already existed in the series. With three episodes left in the Obi-Wan series, will this mean there is a major plothole?<\/p>\n<h2>Potential Grand Inquisitor Plotholes in Obi-Wan Kenobi<\/h2>\n<figure class=\"img-figure\" contenteditable=\"false\"><img decoding=\"async\" style=\"width: 100%;\" contenteditable=\"false\" src=\"https:\/\/cdn-cf.ginx.tv\/imgcdn\/9Z7_oUnY32exqyyUJql1lpBmaQDdTEXSklhTYGF6TOw\/rs:fill:0:0:1\/g:ce\/aHR0cHM6Ly93d3cuZ2lueC50di91cGxvYWRzMi9TdGFyX1dhcnMvT2JpV2FuRmVhdHVyZS5qcGc\" alt=\"Obi-Wan Kenobi\" width=\"800\" height=\"450\" loading=\"lazy\"><figcaption contenteditable=\"false\">Obi-Wan may still need to face the Inquisitor leader. (Picture: Disney)<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>In Star Wars Rebels, the Grand Inquisitor is a major antagonist and eventually is killed in a cinematic show. Reva killing him years earlier than Rebels takes place obviously creates a dilemma for the plot in the future and the lore.<\/p>\n<p>What we don&#8217;t know is if the person we think is the Grand Inquisitor in Obi-Wan is really someone else. He could be an entirely different person with the same markings, which could explain the appearance change, or he could be a clone of one person.<\/p>\n<p>Based on how Vader and Reva speak in Episode 3, Grand Inquisitor is simply a title. If Reva fails in her mission within the show, then we could see the Grand Inquisitor that we know from rebels get cloned, or he could survive his initial wounds.
