Thankfully, the recent live stream of the COD Next Showcase gave us a much deeper look into these new game modes, and we have all the information you need below.&nbsp;<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">So lock and load as we take you through everything you need to know about the new Knockout and Prisoner Escape game mode coming to Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2.&nbsp;<\/span><\/p>\n<h2><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">Knockout Mode in Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2<\/span><\/h2>\n<p><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">Knockout can be considered a combination of regular multiplayer, and the returning mode featured in Modern Warfare 2019 called&nbsp;<\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.ginx.tv\/en\/call-of-duty\/gunfight-mode-returns-modern-warfare-2-2022\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">Gunfight<\/span><\/a><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">. No respawns. Teammates can revive each other.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"list-style-type: disc;\"><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">Knockout takes elements from&nbsp;<\/span><em><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">Modern Warfare<\/span><\/em><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">&rsquo;s 2v2 Gunfight and the final circle action within&nbsp;<\/span><em><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">Call of Duty:<\/span><\/em><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">&nbsp;<\/span><em><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">Warzone<\/span><\/em><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">. It is a very fast, very tactical round-based mode.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"list-style-type: disc;\"><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">Two teams fight over a bag of Cash placed in the middle of the map. Running over the bag captures it for the team, with the bag holder&rsquo;s position appearing on the minimap.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"list-style-type: disc;\"><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">You can drop the bag at will or after you&rsquo;re downed. Hold the bag for 60 seconds, or eliminate the entire enemy team and win the round.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"list-style-type: disc;\"><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">This emphasizes team play; the use of Equipment, Field Upgrades, Killstreaks, defensive tactics; and split-second decisions as you try to lock that bag down!<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">Simply put, Knockout mode will see players in a 6v6 match, where each player only has one life, and you can revive your teammates. Locate the hostages and get them out alive or defend them at all costs. No respawns. Team revives are enabled.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"list-style-type: disc;\"><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">What happens when you take Search &amp; Destroy and crank up the stakes? Each team has a prisoner to protect, held close to their spawn area.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"list-style-type: disc;\"><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">The hostages are impervious to enemy weaponry, but they&rsquo;re immobile. Find the enemy hostage and carry them back to your extraction point.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"list-style-type: disc;\"><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">The Operator holding the prisoner is slowed, uses a sidearm, and can&rsquo;t perform certain actions (like going prone or climbing).<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"list-style-type: disc;\"><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">Points are awarded for every prisoner prevented from being extracted (Defenders) or for every prisoner extracted or held at the end of the round (Attackers), or if the defenders are neutralized.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"list-style-type: disc;\"><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">Ensure you have enough teammates to defend your prisoner while pushing forward to secure the opposition&rsquo;s hostage. This can lead to a variety of sieging opportunities and outcomes<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">This mode will also emphasize breaching and clearing doors, breaking through walls, and tactically moving through rooms to search for prisoners or defend them. The emphasis on the new gear and tools that players will have access to is also what brings a breath of fresh air into the mode.
