The Xbox and Bethesda Showcase<\/a> was jampacked with announcements, including the appearance of Blizzard Entertainment titles, the latest developer to be acquired by Microsoft.<\/p>\n

Among those titles was Overwatch 2<\/a>, the polemic albeit long-awaited sequel, confirmed to release in Early Access in October this year. Additionally, Blizzard confirmed they would be pivoting to a free-to-play format, with extra perks for players that own a copy of the first game. <\/p>\n

Overwatch 2 – Release Date and Price<\/h2>\n

Overwatch 2 will release on Early Access as a free-to-play title on 4th October 2022, with the PvP portion of the FPS launching ahead of the PvE component. Unfortunately, the Xbox Showcase didn’t provide detailed information regarding the PvE component.<\/p>\n
