Netflix has confirmed that the next installment of the popular K-drama series Squid Game is on its way to the streaming platform. The original series, written and directed by Hwang Dong-Hyuk, was favorably received, smashing Netflix’s all-time streaming records and casting it into global internet stardom.<\/p>\n

    According to executive producer Kim Ji-Yeon, the script for Squid Game Season 2 is not yet complete<\/strong>. “We are working on the script right now and making the form of the story,” said Ji-Yeon to Tudum<\/a>. In this regard, fans will unlikely return to the dreaded games any time this year.<\/p>\n

    “But there’s definitely a lot of pressure on how to make [Squid Game Season 2] even better. I know that a lot of the different fans and audiences have enjoyed the series very much, but really we’re focusing on how to make it even more joyful to the global audience,” Ji-Yeon added.<\/p>\n
