{"id":32719,"date":"2022-06-17T10:24:29","date_gmt":"2022-06-17T10:24:29","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.ginx.tv\/warzone-season-4-caldera-map-changes"},"modified":"2024-07-19T13:29:28","modified_gmt":"2024-07-19T13:29:28","slug":"warzone-season-4-caldera-map-changes","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.ginx.tv\/en\/warzone-season-4-caldera-map-changes","title":{"rendered":"Warzone Season 4 Caldera Map Changes &#8211; New POI, ATMs, EMP Grenade and More"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The fourth season of Call of Duty: Warzone, entitled Mercenaries of Fortune, has arrived and includes a menu of content, ranging from <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ginx.tv\/en\/call-of-duty\/warzone-s4-new-guns-ugm-8-marco-5\">new weapons, UGM-8 and Marco 5,<\/a> to a massive overhaul of Warzone&#8217;s Caldera map.<\/p>\n<p>Veteran players can also take a trip down memory lane in Warzone Season 4 by revisiting the new Storage Town point of interest (POI) on Caldera, which is reminiscent of the Verdansk map, albeit with some additional changes.<\/p>\n<p>In addition, there are many other POIs in <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ginx.tv\/en\/call-of-duty\/cod-warzone-season-4-roadmap\">Warzone Season 4<\/a>, including a new Armored SUV, ATMs, and EMP Grenade. Accordingly, the developers noted there would be &#8220;new micro-POIs&#8221; and &#8220;<strong>secret underground Mercenary Vaults<\/strong>,&#8221; with several other changes imminent in Warzone Season 4.<\/p>\n<p>The Mercenary Vaults may function similarly to the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ginx.tv\/en\/call-of-duty\/warzone-rebirth-island-golden-vaults-open-codes-rewards\">Rebirth Island Golden Vaults<\/a> in previous seasons and will likely unlock a ton of Cash, valuable loot, and weapons; however, this remains to be seen.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" data-twitter-extracted-i1655465501429471526=\"true\" data-twitter-extracted-i1655466186262336836=\"true\">\n<p dir=\"ltr\" lang=\"en\">Battle Royale players &#8211; we got you &#129309;<\/p>\n<p>A few of next season&#8217;s updates to the Caldera include:<br \/>&#128205; New micro-POIs and more looting<br \/>&#128176; Secret underground Mercenary Vaults<br \/>&#127796; 50% less vegetation &amp; better visibility<br \/>&#129300; Plenty more surprises in-store <a href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/Ux3kR69RX3\">pic.twitter.com\/Ux3kR69RX3<\/a><\/p>\n<p>&mdash; Call of Duty (@CallofDuty) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/CallofDuty\/status\/1537102657982279682?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">June 15, 2022<\/a><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>\n<script src=\"https:\/\/platform.twitter.com\/widgets.js\" async><\/script>\n<\/p>\n<p>The developers also hinted at a <strong>50% reduction in vegetation, <\/strong>offering better map visibility. This was later explained by Caldera being hit by a &#8220;severe drought&#8221; per the official <a href=\"https:\/\/www.callofduty.com\/blog\/2022\/06\/call-of-duty-vanguard-warzone-mercenaries-of-fortune-season-four-reveal\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\">Call of Duty blog post<\/a> released on 16th June 2022.<\/p>\n<p>The blog post mentioned several other changes, too, including many <strong>new camps<\/strong> cropping up from outside the Resort to the Runway; and <strong>additional pathways<\/strong>, including scaffolding across multiple Capital Buildings and steps near the Gondola Station.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.ginx.tv\/en\/call-of-duty\/warzone-ugm-8-lmg-unlock-season-4\">Warzone UGM-8 LMG &#8211; How to Unlock in Season 4<\/a><\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.ginx.tv\/en\/call-of-duty\/warzone-marco-5-smg-unlock\">Warzone Marco 5 SMG &#8211; How to Unlock in Season 4<\/a><\/strong><\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.ginx.tv\/en\/call-of-duty\/warzone-vanguard-season-4-operators\"><strong>Warzone and Vanguard Season 4 &#8211; All New Operators<\/strong><\/a><\/li>\n<li><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.ginx.tv\/en\/call-of-duty\/fortunes-keep-map-poi-warzone-season-4\">Warzone Season 4 Fortune&#8217;s Keep map &#8211; All POI, layout, and more<\/a><\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>In addition, Caldera sees the return of <strong>Storage Town<\/strong> POI (a replacement for the Ancient Ruins) that will be located &#8220;between the Mines, Airfield, Village, and Dig Site&#8221; near steep cliffs in the center of the island. (Picture: Activision)<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>The <strong>Armored SUV<\/strong> will be released mid-season and can be used by Warzone players to quickly explore the many new POIs across Caldera, thanks to the SUV&#8217;s Nitro Boost. &#8220;It includes a dedicated rooftop turret seat and room for Operators to use their loadout weapons, making this one mean vehicle that begs to be used in the field.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Finally, Caldera will see <strong>ATMs<\/strong> that periodically spew out massive heaps of Cash (up to a maximum holding), which can be particularly useful in new game modes like <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ginx.tv\/en\/call-of-duty\/warzone-season-4-golden-plunder-ltm\">Golden Plunder<\/a>.<\/p>\n<figure class=\"img-figure\" contenteditable=\"false\"><img decoding=\"async\" style=\"width: 100%;\" contenteditable=\"false\" src=\"https:\/\/cdn-cf.ginx.tv\/imgcdn\/XPmMF-dxGfo_nRpNsSnAUJ3_d2DLz9OsunDT_w72x3E\/rs:fill:0:0:1\/g:ce\/aHR0cHM6Ly93d3cuZ2lueC50di91cGxvYWRzMi9XYXJ6b25lLzFhX3NlYXNvbjQvd2Fyem9uZS1zZWFzb24tNC1nb2xkZW4tcGx1bmRlci0yMDIyLmpwZw\" alt=\"atm caldera gold plunder warzone season 4\" width=\"1024\" height=\"576\" loading=\"lazy\"><figcaption contenteditable=\"false\">Cash in on insane rewards at the many ATMs scattered around Caldera.
