The June Community Day in Pokémon GO has nearly arrived, and many Trainers are hoping to snag their very own shiny Deino. But it’s important to know if shiny versions of Pokémon exist in the game because many alternate color schemes are still missing.

One example is the weekly Spotlight Hour, which features a ton of spawns for the same Pokémon. While it’s an excellent opportunity to catch a ton of Pokémon, it doesn’t guarantee a shiny form within the game. New events can always change that, and Deino could be a great place to start. So, could we see a shiny Deino in the Pokémon GO June Community Day?

In short, there is a shiny Deino form in Pokémon GO that any Trainer can attempt to get (with enough luck, that is). The shiny form of Deino maintains the black colors from the base version, but instead of having blue skin color, the Dragon-type is a deep green. Hydreigon maintains this color scheme as well.

One of the rules of thumb for shinies in Pokémon GO is that any Pokémon featured in a Community Day will have a shiny form available. Therefore, if the shiny form doesn’t debut during the Community Day, it means Niantic already implemented the shiny form in the past. Notably, Deino has already had the green color scheme available for some time.
