Earlier this week, we reported analyst predictions regarding the possible delay of the next-gen consoles.

DFC Intelligence, a market research firm focused on interactive industry, released a forecast, where they predicted there’s a very high chance both the PS5 and Xbox Series X will miss the planned Holiday 2020 release window and be delayed until 2021. Almost immediately after, both Microsft and Sony held their back-to-back “deep dive” presentations, where we finally had a chance to see specs in detail for Xbox Series X and PlayStation 5.

Today, Microsoft launched the official Xbox Series X site. Once again, “Holiday 2020” is reaffirmed as the release window, but for a short period, there was an even more precise date – Thanksgiving 2020 (November 26), as it can be seen in the picture below. That picture was swiftly removed, and it was soon explained that it was an “error.”

Was it really just “inaccurately listed in some regions”, or they accidentally revealed the launch date? I guess we will find out in a few months!

An Xbox product page in some regions inaccurately listed the launch date for Xbox Series X as Thanksgiving 2020. We are committed to launching Holiday 2020

â Larry Hryb ð¦â¨ (@majornelson) March 18, 2020
