If you’ve managed to get to the lower levels of Monster Hunter Rise: Sunbreak<\/a>, you would have found yourself standing at the doorstep of The Three Lords, albeit with the Lunagaron blocking the way. This frosty beast looks similar to other dog-like creatures that have appeared in the past, but it has more than a few tricks to make it even more dangerous.<\/p>\n

One of the truly unique aspects of the Lunagaron is its likeness to a Werewolf, which lines up with the theme of the Sunbreak expansion. This has more implications than a theme, though, and it goes as far as changing how the Lunagaron will attack throughout the fight. Attacking with plenty of preparation is the key to survival. When you first encounter Lunagaron in Monster Hunter Rise: Sunbreak, you’ll likely compare it to the Odogaron, another monster with a similar design and covered in red. Not only do they look the same, but they also have similar movesets. They attack with swift dashes and bites within combos.<\/p>\n

This first stage is relatively easy to deal with as long as you are vigilant and watch for the telegraphed bites. But it won’t take much damage before the Lunagaron gets enraged and changes the entire pace of the fight. Once it roars, an armor<\/a> coating of ice spikes will appear on the beast.
