To begin this third part of the overarching quest, you&#8217;ll need to have completed both &#8220;A Strange Story in Konda&#8221; and &#8220;Sacrificial Offering.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.ginx.tv\/en\/genshin-impact\/best-heizou-build-weapon-artifacts-genshin-impact\">Best Heizou Build In Genshin Impact &#8211; Best Weapon, Artifacts<\/a><\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.ginx.tv\/en\/genshin-impact\/genshin-impact-2-8-new-weapons\">Genshin Impact 2.8 Weapons &ndash; Story Quest Weapon, Epitome Invocation Banner<\/a><\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.ginx.tv\/en\/genshin-impact\/genshin-impact-tighnari-release-date-banner-skills\">Genshin Impact Tighnari &ndash; Release Date, Banner, and Skills<\/a><\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.ginx.tv\/en\/genshin-impact\/genshin-impact-2-8-free-fischl-outfit-ein-immernachtstraum\">Genshin Impact 2.8 &#8211; How To Get Free Fischl Outfit Ein Immernachtstraum<\/a><\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>To complete this quest, you&#8217;ll need to find three shrines that you are required to purify. But upon finding each of them, you will need to complete a small puzzle before being able to purify them which we will explain as we go through each shrine location.<\/p>\n<h2>Cleansing Defilement Quest &#8211; Chinju Forest<\/h2>\n<p>After speaking to the mysterious shrine maiden, Kazari, she will set you off to three locations to begin purifying the shrines. You can approach them in any order you choose, but we will be tackling them in the order of Chinju Forest, The Kamisato Estate, and finally, Araumi.<\/p>\n<figure class=\"img-figure\" contenteditable=\"false\"><img decoding=\"async\" style=\"width: 100%;\" contenteditable=\"false\" src=\"https:\/\/cdn-cf.ginx.tv\/imgcdn\/aVb5-MKwDHq7ESrdXOwU0YWmO-lC1IghgrIAlCk2EOc\/rs:fill:0:0:1\/g:ce\/aHR0cHM6Ly93d3cuZ2lueC50di91cGxvYWRzMi9HZW5zaGluX0ltcGFjdC9Ib3dfVG9fQ29tcGxldGVfQ2xlYW5zaW5nX0RlZmlsZW1lbnRfUXVlc3RfSW5fR2Vuc2hpbl9JbXBhY3QvSG93X1RvX0NvbXBsZXRlX0NsZWFuc2luZ19EZWZpbGVtZW50X1F1ZXN0X0luX0dlbnNoaW5fSW1wYWN0X0NoaW5qdV9Gb3Jlc3QuanBn\" alt=\"How To Complete Cleansing Defilement Quest In Genshin Impact Chinju Forest\" width=\"800\" height=\"450\" loading=\"lazy\"><figcaption contenteditable=\"false\">The first shrine you can begin clearing is located in the Chinju Forest. (Picture: YouTube \/ PonPon)<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>Start by heading to Chinju Forest first, and approach the gates to activate the &ldquo;Hayashi of Tanuki in the Forest&rdquo; quest. Continue through this path until you reach the end until you see a large tanuki statue to the west. From here, clear out the Hilichurls and talk to the statue.<\/p>\n<p>You will now need to find three tanukis to proceed. The first can be found on the path previously with the gates and turn into an unlit torch that can be hit.<\/p>\n<p>The second will appear as a barrel surrounded by Hilichurls near a rock formation. The third will be found on a rock along the forest path, follow it until it takes you to a spot with three unlit torches, in which the middle one is the tanuki, which you can hit to complete this step of the quest.<\/p>\n<p>Once you have claimed the Ward from the big tanuki statue, head to the area where the tanuki will open the path to a cliff that reveals a Torii gate. After doing so, Kazari will appear to speak to you about the tanukis.<\/p>\n<h2>Cleansing Defilement Quest &#8211; <strong>The Kamisato Estate<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>Before getting to this shrine you will need the Ward to access it. You can do this by heading to the location north of the Kamisato Estate and using the Memento Lense on a small glowing <a href=\"https:\/\/genshin-impact.fandom.com\/wiki\/Earth_Kitsune_Statue\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\">kitsune statuette<\/a>, and following it up by using an Electro ability on the large kitsune statue next to it to receive the Ward.<\/p>\n<figure class=\"img-figure\" contenteditable=\"false\"><img decoding=\"async\" style=\"width: 100%;\" contenteditable=\"false\" src=\"https:\/\/cdn-cf.ginx.tv\/imgcdn\/ATF8YeVAOYmHuzxXJd4r-xVarhgsbIUnohSQTAhrFQE\/rs:fill:0:0:1\/g:ce\/aHR0cHM6Ly93d3cuZ2lueC50di91cGxvYWRzMi9HZW5zaGluX0ltcGFjdC9Ib3dfVG9fQ29tcGxldGVfQ2xlYW5zaW5nX0RlZmlsZW1lbnRfUXVlc3RfSW5fR2Vuc2hpbl9JbXBhY3QvSG93X1RvX0NvbXBsZXRlX0NsZWFuc2luZ19EZWZpbGVtZW50X1F1ZXN0X0luX0dlbnNoaW5fSW1wYWN0X0thbWlzYXRvX0VzdGF0ZV9Mb2NhdGlvbi5qcGc\" alt=\"How To Complete Cleansing Defilement Quest In Genshin Impact Kamasito Estate Location\" width=\"800\" height=\"450\" loading=\"lazy\"><figcaption contenteditable=\"false\">Head to the location shown above to begin clearing the shrine in the Kamasito Estate. (Picture: Mapgenie.io)<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>From here, head for the island northeast of the Kamisato Estate and use the Memento Lens on the small glowing kitsune statuette inside a large hole. This will cause you to drop down into a cavern containing a Torii gate but beware, it&#8217;s filled with Electro energy.<\/p>\n<p>This can be mitigated by using Electrogranum littered around the area to protect yourself as you prepare to purify the shrine. (Picture: YouTube \/ PonPon)<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>After this is complete, you will be faced with two mini-bosses which can be difficult to take down since you&#8217;re still taking Electro damage at this point. So be sure to use the Electrgranum and any shields you have at your disposal to keep our health up until you can bring down the bosses.<\/p>\n<h2>Cleansing Defilement Quest &#8211; <strong>Araumi<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>Head to the area in Araumi where you&#8217;ll find some crumbling ruins and contraptions that require electro to use. Here you&#8217;ll need to activate four Electropillars to unlock the mechanisms near the tower ruins as shown below.<\/p>\n<figure class=\"img-figure\" contenteditable=\"false\"><img decoding=\"async\" style=\"width: 100%;\" contenteditable=\"false\" src=\"https:\/\/cdn-cf.ginx.tv\/imgcdn\/Y5a4nhvo09nyB1VRSpJkusRb53TPAYfvb2okHHXoW2M\/rs:fill:0:0:1\/g:ce\/aHR0cHM6Ly93d3cuZ2lueC50di91cGxvYWRzMi9HZW5zaGluX0ltcGFjdC9Ib3dfVG9fQ29tcGxldGVfQ2xlYW5zaW5nX0RlZmlsZW1lbnRfUXVlc3RfSW5fR2Vuc2hpbl9JbXBhY3QvSG93X1RvX0NvbXBsZXRlX0NsZWFuc2luZ19EZWZpbGVtZW50X1F1ZXN0X0luX0dlbnNoaW5fSW1wYWN0X0FyYXVtaV9QaWxsYXJfTG9jYXRpb25zLmpwZw\" alt=\"How To Complete Cleansing Defilement Quest In Genshin Impact Activate the Pillars in Araumi\" width=\"800\" height=\"450\" loading=\"lazy\"><figcaption contenteditable=\"false\">Activate the four pillars in Araumi to open the tower and descend to the shrine location. (Picture: YouTube \/ PonPon)<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>Once the mechanism has been unlocked, you can make your way into the destroyed tower and use your Memento lens on three glowing kitsune statuettes. This will activate the mechanisms that appear behind them and allow you to access the cavern.<\/p>\n<p>Once inside the cavern, use a Memento lens on the glowing kitsune statuette near the entrance and pick up the Electrogranum that appears. Now you can head through the Electro barrier and find the larger kitsune statue that you can use an Electro ability on and grab the Ward from it.<\/p>\n<p>Now make your way back to the Torii gate and place the Ward inside to activate it and start the shrine puzzle.
