Super Smash Bros. Ultimate’s first Fighters Pass offered wide variety of new challengers, from Persona 5’s Joker all the way through to Byleth from Fire Emblem.<\/p>\n

The second Fighters Pass is set to be even bigger, packing six new characters instead of the usual five – although it’s believed to be the last<\/a> too.<\/p>\n

While it might be a while before the first DLC character is revealed according to comments from game director Masahiro Sakurai<\/a>, here’s the most strongly rumoured (and confirmed) new fighters.<\/p>\n

ARMS fighter<\/h2>\n

Nintendo has confirmed the first character<\/a> in the new Fighters Pass will be from Switch exclusive title ARMS – although they haven’t revealed which fighter from the game’s roster it will be. <\/p>\n

The ARMS fighter will be announced and released for Smash Ultimate in June 2020, so it might be a while before we see any other characters released. <\/p>\n

Crash Bandicoot<\/h2>\n

One of the early rumours<\/a> for the second Fighters Pass was Crash Bandicoot, who has recently undergone a remaster rebirth with the N. Sane Trilogy and Crash Team Racing.<\/p>\n

This emerged from Twitter user MandyCanNot<\/a>, who previously correctly claimed Fire Emblem’s Byleth would be a DLC character, so there’s a strong possibility this could turn out to be true.<\/p>\n

It also makes a lot of sense considering he’s a hugely popular character who would easily slot into the world of Super Smash Bros. Ultimate. Could this also coincide with a new Crash Bandicoot game announcement? We wouldn’t rule it out.<\/p>\n

Dante<\/h2>\n

Devil May Cry’s Dante looked almost guaranteed as the final fighter for the first DLC pass<\/a>, but it turns out Capcom simply had excellent marketing timing to promote Devil May Cry 3 special edition on Nintendo Switch.<\/p>\n

Or was this all a rouse for a future announcement? Dante feels like an obvious fit for Smash Ultimate at this stage, and with all the special releases of Devil May Cry on the Switch, it feels almost odd he isn’t there already.<\/p>\n

Capcom has Mega Man and Street Fighter’s Ryu and Ken in Smash already too, so could Dante be the company’s final fourth entrant?<\/p>\n

Travis Touchdown<\/h2>\n

With the release of No More Heroes 3 on Switch this year, the likelihood of protagonist Travis Touchdown making an appearance in Super Smash Bros. has never been higher.<\/p>\n

There were leaks earlier this year<\/a> which claimed Travis Touchdown was in contention for a spot, supporting rumours based on developer Suda 51 meeting up with Sakurai in 2019.<\/p>\n
