This saw an outpour of responses across social media platforms, heavily criticizing the decision under the hashtag <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/hashtag\/RestoreBatgirl?src=hashtag_click\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\"><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><strong>#RestoreBatgirl<\/strong><\/span><\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>However, Warner Bros. Discovery CEO David Zaslav may have restored some of the faith lost as he outlined plans for the DCEU during a Q&amp;A session on 4th August 2022. With planned projects still on track for release; however, the future remains unclear for DC and what the future holds moving forward.<\/p>\n<h2>WB Discovery Boss Wants To Emulate MCU Strategy For DCEU<\/h2>\n<p>Zaslav revealed via entertainment publication <a href=\"https:\/\/www.hollywoodreporter.com\/movies\/movie-news\/dc-movies-follow-marvel-playbook-1235193077\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\" data-v9y=\"1\" data-rapid_p=\"17\" data-ylk=\"slk:The Hollywood Reporter\">The Hollywood Reporter<\/a>&nbsp;that he intends to give the DCEU a much-needed refresh by assigning a new team focused on DC-related content. &ldquo;We have done a reset. We are not going to release any film before it&rsquo;s ready&hellip;. Following the successful Christopher Nolan-directed The Dark Knight trilogy, Warner Bros had tapped Zack Snyder to spearhead the DCEU, starting with 2016&rsquo;s Superman film, Man of Steel.<\/p>\n<p>Unfortunately, plans fell apart for Snyder following the critically panned Batman v. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ginx.tv\/en\/movies\/batman-v-superman-originally-had-a-much-darker-ending\">Superman: Dawn of Justice<\/a>, with Walter Hamada taking over DC Films in 2018. Fury of the Gods was still given the go-ahead by Zaslav, who expressed his excitement for the projects.
