src=\"https:\/\/platform.twitter.com\/widgets.js\"><\/script>\n<\/div>\n<p>Legacy controls have long been a contentious issue in the competitive Fortnite with many feeling that the aim assist is more akin to an aimbot.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Read more:&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.ginx.tv\/en\/fortnite\/best-controller-players-in-fortnite\" rel=\"nofollow\" target=\"_blank\">The Best Controller Players in Fortnite<\/a><\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>An insertion perhaps backed up by the number of players who started&nbsp;using both KBM and controller sometimes switching in-game depending on the situation.<\/p>\n<p>Others like Shane &#8220;EpikWhale&#8221; Cotton gave up their KBM entirely and made the decision&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/youtu.be\/sDngo4XYpVQ\" rel=\"nofollow\" target=\"_blank\">to compete exclusively on&nbsp;controller<\/a> because in his words:&nbsp;&#8220;It is definitely better in some situations&#8221;.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Whether this finally ends the &#8220;L2 spam&#8221; debate is yet to be seen with the two remaining control schemes &#8211; Linear and Exponential &#8211; both have their critics.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<div
