At long last, MultiVersus Season 1 has finally arrived, boasting a massive menu of general, gameplay, and quality-of-life improvements. However, while their expansive list of updates in the latest MultiVersus Season 1 patch notes addresses multiple issues from the Open Beta test phase, more important are the character balance changes.

MultiVersus Season 1 introduces a brand-new expert-class fighter, Morty, to the fray. However, he will only be available on 23rd August 2022. In addition, Arya, Batman, LeBron James, and Steven Universe join the Free Character Rotation (ending 30th August 2022).

Some notable changes include several drastic nerfs to Velma, who quickly became a meta pick during the MultiVersus Open Beta. Similarly, Bugs Bunny also received several buffs after the developers felt he was “a bit too safe” of a selection; likewise, Finn was punished (with even more changes coming in the future).
