shows old and new available for us to enjoy during the lockdown age.

So what should you be checking out on Disney+? Here’s the best shows available from launch.

The Mandalorian

Let’s get the obvious out of the way. The Mandalorian is the first of a new line of Star Wars spin-off shows, starring Pedro Pascal as the mysterious bounty hunter who is sent on missions all over the galaxy.

Bizarrely, only the first two episodes are available so far (despite all of them being available in the US), with new episodes set to arrive weekly. Despite the weird rollout, the Mandalorian is easily the best Star Wars offshoot in recent years and the defining original Disney+ has to offer.

While a big selling point of Disney+ is the vast backlog of Disney classics, there’s also every episode of The Simpsons available at your fingertips.

Alright, everything from season 12 onwards takes a significant nosedive. But the first batch of seasons are arguably some of the greatest television ever made – filled with classic episodes destined to be quoted for decades to come.

Arguably the best thing to come out of the prequel trilogy, Star Wars: The Clone Wars is a spin-off series which dives deeper into the period between Attack Of The Clones and Revenge Of The Sith.

The seventh and final season will release only on Disney+, wrapping up what’s become one of the most beloved Star Wars spin-offs there’s ever been. If you’re losing faith in the franchise after Rise Of Skywalker, this is definitely one to try out.

High School Musical undergoes a mockumentary revamp in this TV series spin-off, which takes place at a fictionalised version of East High School where the original movie was filmed.

There’s some slightly irritating jokes against the original movies which feel misjudged for its target audience, but once the songs take over the snark, there’s some smart fun to be had which subverts the high school romance formula.
