Along with some broadcasted events on Twitch, Niantic will add Timed Research and PvE Challengers for Trainers across the world to take on themselves.<\/p>\n<p>The World Championship isn&#8217;t as extensive for global content compared to other events in the game. There will be a small set of steps for Timed Research this time, but the rewards are super rare and shouldn&#8217;t be skipped. One set of research will be available to everyone at the same time. (Picture: Niantic)<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>To battle these Challengers yourself, you won&#8217;t need to join the GO Battle League, despite the Championship going on. Instead, you&#8217;ll find Challengers at Pok&eacute;Stops just like Team GO Rocket Grunts on a normal day. When you spin a stop that has an encounter, there will be a random selection from one of the Challenger teams listed above.<\/p>\n<p>Going into those battles with a team full of counters can save you a ton of grief from having to restart repeatedly. You can continue to fight them as long as the event is live in Pok&eacute;mon GO, but you only need to complete about 15 Challenger battles to finish all of your Timed Research. Then you&#8217;ll have two new Elite TMs to your name.<\/p>\n<p><strong>And that&#8217;s all.
