With the release of Overwatch 2 in October of this year, Blizzard has announced some exciting news, most notably for those original Overwatch fans in the crowd. If you’re excited about this news as it pertains to the release of Overwatch 2, then you might be interested to know exactly how merging all your accounts work, and that’s where we come in. Blizzard explains how to merge multiple Overwatch accounts — you’ll need a Battle.net account, of course, which has been required for cross-play in Overwatch since 2021 — and how things like in-game credits, Overwatch League tokens, achievements, and competitive and skill ratings will be handled in an extensive FAQ. In short, for the most part, they will all add up or you will get the highest number associated with a specific statistic.

However, there are a few caveats. Players can only merge one account per platform, so if you have multiple accounts on PC or multiple consoles, you must choose which one to merge with your unified Battle.net account. To merge your accounts, we’ve laid out the steps you need to follow to do so, as per Blizzard’s FAQ.

  1.

Log in with your console account to Overwatch.

  2.

Scanning a QR Code on your mobile phone is as simple as following the on-screen prompts.

  3.

To connect to or create your Blizzard Battle.net Account, enter the code displayed on your console.

  4.

When you are finished, you will be prompted to confirm your account upon the next game login to merge your accounts.

NB: You will only get one chance to merge the correct account.
