Indian esports company NODWIN Gaming expanded to South Africa in February. Since then, the Indian esports company’s South African branch revealed the Umzanzi Esports League (postponed until the end of July 2020), with two LAN finals and an overall prize pool of R1 million.<\/p>\n

With the COVID-19 pandemic being a global crisis, and cases growing in South Africa, NODWIN Gaming responded in the best possible way, by creating the Inkosi Super Cup.<\/p>\n

Inkosi Super Cup announcement<\/h2>\n

In a press release<\/a>, NODWIN Gaming ZA revealed the Inkosi Super Cup, and explained their reasons behind creating this online cup series for South Africans to enjoy.<\/p>\n

“Johannesburg, South Africa – NODWIN Gaming South Africa has announced the postponement of the Umzansi Esports League, which was initially set to open for registrations on 22 March 2020. This announcement comes as a response to the COVID-19 pandemic currently sweeping the globe to protect the health and safety of the organizers and players,’ the statement read.<\/p>\n

“It has also been announced that NODWIN Gaming South Africa will instead be launching a new interim tournament, titled the Inkosi Super Cup.”<\/p>\n

The Inkosi Super cup will kick off the first week of matches starting 30th March 2020. It will comprise four esports titles, namely CS:GO, FIFA 20, PUBG Mobile, and Tekken 7.<\/p>\n
