Now that the summer months are passing by, the Season of Light is set to take the stage in Pokémon GO. Fall is primed for content across the board in the Pokémon franchise, and the mobile branch is no exception.

Soon enough, Trainers can start getting their hands on all kinds of Sun and Moon content. The Season of GO brought plenty of debuts like the Ultra Beasts to the game, but it looks like Niantic wants to keep the Generation VII Alolan region going before the next era begins later this year.

There are only a couple of days left in the Season of GO before the theme changes entirely. September is the final date for the Season of GO, and it’s the first day for the Season of Light. Like most events in Pokémon GO, the starting times will roll out on a local basis. So each region will have to wait for their own local times to begin playing in the new season.

Most events and seasons begin at 10 am local time, and the same rule will most likely apply to the Season of Light in September. Whether that date brings new challenges along with it remains to be seen. Based on leaks, it seems more than likely that we’re going to get a Battle Pass for the new season.
