This includes the introduction of two <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ginx.tv\/en\/pokemon\/pokemon-scarlet-violet-reveals-rideable-legendary-pokemon\">Legendary rideable Pok&eacute;mon<\/a>, and more recently, the reveal of an elusive new Pok&eacute;mon called Grafaiai.<\/p>\n<p>The Pok&eacute;mon Company has now officially released details surrounding this new Pok&eacute;mon in a video. The Pok&eacute;mon was shrouded in mystery as all we had to work with were still images showcasing strange paint markings or graffiti left in the forest and a blurry silhouette of what it could be.<\/p>\n<p>Thankfully, however, we have now been gifted with a full <a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=rPWSMyGx6OI&amp;t=5s\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\">documentary-style video<\/a>, and a full reveal video depicting Grafaiai as a Poison\/Normal type Pok&eacute;mon (the first of its kind, which is awesome) designed with the look of an adorable monkey. Grafaiai&#8217;s saliva appears to change color depending on what it eats, but it&#8217;s unclear whether this is <a href=\"https:\/\/scarletviolet.pokemon.com\/en-us\/pokemon\/grafaiai\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\">just Pokedex lore<\/a> or if it will play a role in gameplay.<\/p>\n<p>Grafaiai is shown eating berries in the documentary-style reveal video, and it also mentions how the Pok&eacute;mon&#8217;s diet changes the color of its saliva. (Picture: Niantic)<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>Another intriguing aspect of Grafaiai is that it is a nocturnal Pok&eacute;mon. As with most open worlds, Pok&eacute;mon Scarlet and Violet&#8217;s Paldea region is expected to have a day\/night cycle, so trainers may only be able to catch this Pok&eacute;mon at night. This would not be the first time that a Pok&eacute;mon game used a day\/night cycle to determine which Pok&eacute;mon are available at any given time, so it&#8217;s not out of the question.<\/p>\n<p>For now, the speculation and details we have to chew on regarding Grafaiai will have to tide Pok&eacute;mon fans over until more details are revealed for Scarlet and Violet. But We&#8217;re hopeful to see more news on the game, especially with the Nintendo Direct event happening soon, it&#8217;s entirely likely we&#8217;ll get more news as the event rolls around.<\/p>\n<div style=\"left: 0px;
