It has been almost four full months since the last time Heroes of the Storm got a new hero – mighty dragon Deathwing. By now it is clear that cadence for this year will be much slower when it comes to hero releases, and HotS players would be happy even if we see three or four new heroes per year from now on.<\/p>\n

It is almost time for new season and predictions are that the game will get a new hero with it. And it seems that Blizzard is doing some teasing around it, with some small in-game details. When Deathwing was about to be revealed, HotS games had random earthquakes, and red-orange glows appearing in games randomly, which was later shown to be a teaser for Deathwing, in the form of “cataclysm”, WoW expansion where Deathwing was the main villain. And now, it looks like we are getting some new in-game teasers, possibly for a new hero.<\/p>\n

This time, it is not that dramatic – random transparent snakes appear at the start of games on the map, which you can see below.<\/p>\n

People are reporting that they saw them on Hanamura, Sky Temple, and Tomb of the Spider Queen. Redditor Garreth, who posted this on Reddit, says that he saw them in 2 out of 18 games he played last two weeks, so they appear randomly.<\/p>\n

Some people thought that those are  Blood Elf Mana Worms, but they don’t look like them (they don’t crawl). Naturally, others are connecting them with Naga from WarCraft, speculating that it could bee Vashj or Azshara. Still, earlier this month Blizzard developer confirmed<\/a> that Vashj is not a new hero, so she’s off the table for now.<\/p>\n
