Week 2 of the weekly challenges in Fortnite Chapter 3 Season 4 are here and as expected, some are linked to the chrome on the island. One challenge in particular tasks players with eliminating opponents while chromed, which sounds easy on paper but it may be the most annoying objective given out this week.

Most of the other challenges are based on dealing damage or simply emoting at the correctly marked location. Eliminating opponents is already a challenge, but adding the chrome is even more of a hurdle. This guide will go over what the challenge means and the easiest way to complete it.

To complete this challenge, the most important aspect is making sure you’re chromed before jumping into some action. Chrome is the main theme of the season, and just like many of the points of interest on the map, you can cover yourself in the liquid metal. But you’ll need the right item to do so.

Simply walking through chromed walls won’t be enough to make the liquid metal last. Instead, you’ll need some of the Chrome Splash items that are scattered around the Fortnite Chapter 3 Season 4 island. These are considered Epic rarity and they are part of the chest or floor loot pool in the game. So far, it seems like the item appears more in areas that are covered in chrome.
