Episode 6 of The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power<\/a> had some major implications for the list of characters, and by the end, our heroes were clearly at a loss. What we saw in the final moments of the episode could very well have been the iconic mountain that we all know as Mount Doom in the books and the movies.<\/p>\n

Of course, Sauron is still in hiding and we don’t know the full plans of the enemy just yet. Was that final eruption really Mount Doom or just a smaller step in the plan of the enemies? Keep reading on to get a recap on the end of the episode and information on Mount Doom.<\/p>\n

Though the names are never explicitly mentioned, the show has confirmed the beginning of Mount Doom and what will eventually become Mordor as we know it in the Lord of the Rings films. Episode 6 tied together many of the plot threads from the Rings of Power until the massive explosion from Mount Doom made one massive knot.<\/p>\n

Though Galadriel and Arondir seem to have won the small skirmish at the end of Episode 6, everything is turned upside down when Waldreg escapes with the real key. Adar tricked the heroes into thinking he had it, but the hilt key was handed off to his human servant.<\/p>\n
