The highly anticipated free-to-play team-based shooter, Overwatch 2, has finally arrived though not without its fair share of problems. On launch day, Overwatch 2 experienced two massive DDoS attacks<\/a>, long server queues, and a plethora of game-breaking bugs that prevented players from logging in.<\/p>\n

Some players reported a more severe issue in which their progress and purchased skins didn’t carry over from Overwatch 1 to the sequel version. The free-to-play sequel features cross-progression, so this news may come as a shock to many. <\/p>\n

For those unaware, Overwatch 2 allows players to merge their accounts and carry their progress from Overwatch 1. They can do this by linking their blizzard.net account with their PlayStation, Xbox, or Nintendo account.<\/p>\n

However, as mentioned above, some players have reported missing Overwatch 1 skins and currencies despite linking their accounts. <\/p>\n

Overwatch 2 game director Aaron Keller has since then addressed the situation on Twitter and assured fans by saying that the company is making progress on making the game more stable. <\/p>\n

Activision Blizzard has also released a new forum on its official website that contains a list of known issues in Overwatch 2<\/a>.<\/p>\n

The one in regards to cross-progression is at the top of this list. While it’s not much, it’s at least reassuring to know that the company is aware of the issue and is working to fix it.<\/p>\n
