Accordingly, CDPR outlined <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ginx.tv\/en\/cyberpunk-2077\/next-cyberpunk-game-witcher-trilogy\">production plans for The Witcher series<\/a> and shared key details regarding Cyberpunk 2077 and its future.<\/p>\n<p>Having already <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/CyberpunkGame\/status\/1575142892489801735\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\">surpassed 20 million copies sold<\/a> since its release in December 2020, CDPR saw a surge in interest primarily due to the Cyberpunk: Edgerunners anime and its subsequent game update. But perhaps the most significant announcement was its plans for the game&rsquo;s sequel, codenamed &ldquo;Orion,&rdquo; soon heading into production.<\/p>\n<h2>Cyberpunk 2077 &ldquo;Project Orion&rdquo; &ndash; Release Date<\/h2>\n<p>The Polish developer announced on 4th October 2022 that they&rsquo;ll be developing the sequel to the action RPG, Cyberpunk 2077. Likewise, the studio is looking to expand its pop culture fields, mainly in film and television, primarily due to the success of its anime project, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ginx.tv\/en\/tv\/netflix-cyberpunk-edgerunners-anime-positive-reviews\">Cyberpunk: Edgerunners<\/a>.<\/p>\n<h2>Everything We Know About Cyberpunk 2077 &ldquo;Project Orion&rdquo;<\/h2>\n<p>CDPR&#8217;s CFO, Piotr Nielubowicz, elaborated that they look to expand the studio in many ways on top of what has been established thus far.
