This doesn&#8217;t give us much indication of a potential XCOM 3 release date, as it has already been well over six years since the release of XCOM 2.<\/p>\n<p>Our best guesstimate is that XCOM 3 won&#8217;t release until late 2024 or 2025, especially if <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ginx.tv\/en\/civilization-7\/release-date-gameplay\">Civilization 7<\/a> turns out to be Firaxis&#8217; next main focus following the release of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ginx.tv\/en\/marvel\/marvel-midnight-suns-release-date-pre-order\">Marvel&#8217;s Midnight Suns<\/a> in December 2022.<\/p>\n<h2>XCOM 3 Info<\/h2>\n<figure class=\"img-figure\" contenteditable=\"false\"><img decoding=\"async\" style=\"width: 100%;\" contenteditable=\"false\" src=\"https:\/\/cdn-cf.ginx.tv\/imgcdn\/UQDlfAdm_y2zXKo8Vq-iIaovl-eqlQOBYYq6tOa7O2U\/rs:fill:0:0:1\/g:ce\/aHR0cHM6Ly93d3cuZ2lueC50di91cGxvYWRzMi9YQ09NMy9YQ09NMzIuanBnP190PTE2NjU0OTAzNTI\" alt=\"XCOM 3 release date gameplay leaks news firaxis development geforce now leak rumour speculation\" width=\"700\" height=\"393\" loading=\"lazy\"><figcaption contenteditable=\"false\">Fans aren&#8217;t exactly getting blown away by the XCOM 3 leaks, but there is at least some news. (Picture: Firaxis)<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>In June 2022, during the Summer Games Fest, Firaxis project leader, Garth DeAngelis, confirmed in an interview <a href=\"https:\/\/www.pcgamesn.com\/xcom-3\/new-xcom-game\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\">with PCGamesN<\/a> that there is &#8220;absolutely&#8221; a future for XCOM.<\/p>\n<p>While speaking about Marvel&#8217;s Midnight Suns development, DeAngelis noted: &#8220;We are enormous fans of XCOM. We love it. There&rsquo;s absolutely a future for it. In September 2021, a massive NVIDIA GeForce Now database leak seemingly revealed a bunch of unannounced titles, including XCOM 3, as <a href=\"https:\/\/wccftech.com\/nvidia-responds-to-geforce-now-database-leak-says-list-included-speculative-titles\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\">reported<\/a> by WCCFTech.<\/p>\n<p>The publication then reached out to NVIDIA and received the following comment:&nbsp;&#8220;NVIDIA is aware of an unauthorized published game list, with both released and\/or speculative titles, used only for internal tracking and testing. Inclusion on the list is neither confirmation nor an announcement of any game.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;NVIDIA took immediate action to remove access to the list. No confidential game builds or personal information were exposed.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>It is unclear if XCOM 3 was a speculative title or not. (Picture: Firaxis)<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>Unlike some spinoffs, XCOM 3&#8217;s gameplay should be in the turned-based tactical strategy genre, without a doubt.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>At the time of writing, no official XCOM 3 gameplay details have been revealed.
