League of Legends has become a worldwide phenomenon over the years, expanding to a global audience. As such, the game is now playable in various languages. Not only is this very convenient for those playing outside of English-speaking countries, but is also necessary for cultivating a healthy global esports scene.

However, if you’re a long-time League of Legends fan looking to spice up some of the in-game dialogue you’ve heard countless times (or are a Japanese-speaking player who has moved overseas), you may want to change the voices and in-game client to Japanese.

This isn’t super obvious as to how it is done. In most cases, there is no readily available language option in the League of Legends client itself. So, we’ve prepared a short guide to help you get it done.
