It&#8217;s nearly impossible to speculate how long we might have to wait for a third installment in the series without knowing whether Dishonored 3 is in development. So for all we know right now, the game is still a long way off, but at the very least, we can expect an &#8220;in development&#8221; announcement in the next 2 years.<\/p>\n<p>Another factor that is impacted by the lack of an estimated release date is the platform. (Picture: Arkane Studios)<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>Based on the statement from Arkane Studio&rsquo;s Co-Creative Director Dinga Bakaba, when <a href=\"https:\/\/me.ign.com\/en\/pc\/173509\/news\/the-dishonored-series-has-not-been-put-on-hold-says-arkane\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\">speaking to IGN Middle East<\/a>, said that any future entries would likely focus on a new story arc and new characters, with the Kaldwin storyline essentially &lsquo;complete&rsquo;.<\/p>\n<p>As directly quoted from Bakaba, &ldquo;It&rsquo;s something where we had a story to tell about the Kaldwins and the Outsider, and that story is over.&rdquo; He also said, &ldquo;Whatever happens, that Dishonored is complete. This is the best and the most honest answer we can give, but, in any case, I don&rsquo;t think we will be revisiting that [the Kaldwin storyline]. Some other people might have thought differently, you know, but that was a creative choice not to revisit that part of the Dishonored world.&rdquo;<\/p>\n<p>So for now, we can say that if Dishonored returns, we&#8217;re in for a brand new story, characters, and possibly, a new fresh creative direction for the abilities and gameplay.<\/p>\n<h2>Dishonored Connected to Deathloop?<\/h2>\n<p>Deathloop&#8217;s director, Dinga Bakaba, has confirmed that Dishonored and Deathloop form part of the same universe.
