While Valorant isn’t set to be released until summer this year, excitement around the title has already rippled through competitive communities.<\/p>\n

Many streamers have already played the new tactical shooter<\/a> from Riot Games in a special alpha event, and have offered their thoughts on how it could be a major rival to CS:GO.<\/p>\n

It isn’t long before you can get your hands on Valorant too with a closed beta planned for next week<\/a>, so how can you get access? Here’s what you need to know.<\/p>\n

When is the closed beta and how do I sign up?<\/h2>\n

The closed beta for Valorant starts on 7th April and will be available to North America, Europe Canada, Russia and Turkey regions.<\/p>\n

The beta will go live from 2pm CET\/ 5am PDT on PC. There’s currently no end date.<\/p>\n

Getting access to the beta however isn’t simply through an email sign up. You have to follow the below steps:<\/p>\n

  1. Register for a Riot account<\/a><\/li>\n
  2. Link your Riot account to a Twitch account<\/a><\/li>\n
  3. When closed beta activates in your region (EU and NA for now) – watch specific Valorant closed beta streams<\/a> highlighted on Twitch<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    Not everyone will gain access of course as it’ll be granted to a limited number of players, but you essentially have to keep an eye on specific streams with the Drops Enabled tag to be in with a chance.<\/p>\n

    Which streamers have beta key drops?<\/h2>\n

    Before the beta kicks off next week, streamers who have already played Valorant are set to give out beta keys starting 3rd April.<\/p>\n

    Your first opportunity will be the Twitch Rivals Showdown<\/a>, which is two separate tournaments for EMEA and NA regions featuring different streamers.<\/p>\n

    • Showdown EMEA<\/strong>: 5pm GMT \/ 10am PT \/ 1pm ET<\/li>\n
    • Showdown NA<\/strong>: 8:30pm GMT \/ 1:30am PT \/ 4:30pm ET<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

      Even more streamers however are set to be giving out beta keys. You can find a full list via Liquidpedia here<\/a>.<\/p>\n

      How many keys are available?<\/h2>\n

      While Riot Games haven’t confirmed how many beta keys will be up for grabs, CS:GO player Jordan “n0thing” Gilbert stated on Twitter there’ll be 25,000 keys available to players.<\/p>\n
