The God of War Novelisation confirmed that the young boy was 11 years old during the events of the first game. With God of War Ragnarok taking place three years after, Atreus is roughly 14. Sunny Suljic, who reprises his role as Atreus in God of War Ragnarok, has also aged since then, not to mention his voice. In an <a href=\"https:\/\/in.ign.com\/god-of-war-ragnarok\/175660\/news\/god-of-war-ragnarok-had-to-get-creative-to-deal-with-atreus-actors-changing-voice\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\">IGN interview<\/a>, Jodie Kupsco, the dialogue designer on God of War Ragnarok, revealed that the studio had to tweak his performance so that it sounded like it took place over a short period of time.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>As such, expect Atreus&#8217; voice to sound a lot deeper in the sequel.
