With many scattered across the region&#8217;s provinces, some are relatively easy to find, and others require you to track them down extensively. Vivillon Patterns<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.ginx.tv\/en\/pokemon-scarlet-violet\/eevee-location-evolve\">Much like Eevee<\/a>, Vivillon is quite a popular Pok&eacute;mon due to the number of patterns or forms you can obtain. But is there a new design available in-game? This guide explores how to find a Vivillon and the steps taken to get its patterns in Pok&eacute;mon Scarlet and Violet.<\/p>\n<p><pre><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><strong>1st March 2024 Update:<\/strong><\/span> We've updated this guide to reflect that you can link Pok&eacute;mon GO and Scarlet and Violet to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ginx.tv\/en\/pokemon-go\/catch-gimmighoul\">encounter Gimmighoul<\/a>, as forwarding Postcards can change the Vivillon patterns found on the Postcards. However, Trainers seeking this Pok&eacute;mon will first need to <strong>find Scatterbug<\/strong> and <strong>evolve it to Spewpa and then Vivillon<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>Scatterbug can be found any time of the day, so you&#8217;ll need to head out to <strong>the South Province (Area One)<\/strong> of the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ginx.tv\/en\/pokemon\/pokemon-scarlet-and-violet-gen9-region\">Paldea region<\/a>. During the tutorial phase of the game&#8217;s campaign, you&#8217;ll meet an NPC, Nemona, who&#8217;ll go through the steps on catching Pok&eacute;mon in wild habitats.<\/p>\n<p>You&#8217;ll obtain a handful of Pok&eacute; Balls during the quest, during which you&#8217;ll head out to a tutorial area, where you&#8217;ll find Scatterbugs spawning. Afterward, you&#8217;ll be able to acquire one of its patterns, which for the game would be the <strong>Fancy Form Vivillon<\/strong>.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>As of writing, there are 20 known Vivillon patterns in the Pok&eacute;mon series, with <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/Yoriden150\/status\/1589591823164801027\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\">18 available to find in Pok&eacute;mon GO<\/a>; each can be acquired depending on the location or region it evolved. Having evolved Scatterbug to Spewda and Vivillon in the Paldea region, your Pok&eacute;dex will register the <strong>green-winged Fancy Form Vivillon<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>Below is the complete list of Vivillon patterns that exist across multiple Pok&eacute;mon games, <strong>predominately in Pok&eacute;mon GO<\/strong> and their known regions\/territories:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Archipelago:<\/strong> South Africa and The Caribbean<\/li>\n<li><strong>Continental:<\/strong> Argentina, Central Europe, Central Asia, and India<\/li>\n<li><strong>Elegant:<\/strong> Japan<\/li>\n<li><strong>Fancy:<\/strong> Catching and evolving Spewda in Pok&eacute;monScarlet and Violet<\/li>\n<li><strong>Garden:<\/strong> Ireland, New Zealand, and the United Kingdom<\/li>\n<li><strong>Highplains:<\/strong> Eastern Europe and the Western United States<\/li>\n<li><strong>Icy Snow: <\/strong>Greenland, Northern Canada, and Northern Europe<\/li>\n<li><strong>Jungle:<\/strong> Central Africa, Colombia, Indonesia, and Northern South America<\/li>\n<li><strong>Marine:<\/strong> Chile, Eastern Europe, Greece, and Spain<\/li>\n<li><strong>Meadow:<\/strong> Central Europe<\/li>\n<li><strong>Modern:<\/strong> Southeastern United States<\/li>\n<li><strong>Monsoon:<\/strong> Southeastern United States<\/li>\n<li><strong>Ocean:<\/strong> Galapagos Islands, Hawaii, and Madagascar<\/li>\n<li><strong>Pok&eacute; Ball:<\/strong> only made available for limited-time special events <em>(currently not available in-game)<\/em><\/li>\n<li><strong>Polar:<\/strong> Alaska, Chile, Eastern Canada, Northeastern United States, Northern Europe, Southern Argentina, and Western Canada&nbsp;<\/li>\n<li><strong>River:<\/strong> Egypt, North Africa, South Africa, and South Australia<\/li>\n<li><strong>Sandstorm:<\/strong> Middle East<\/li>\n<li><strong>Savannah:<\/strong> Brazil and North Australia<\/li>\n<li><strong>Sun:<\/strong> Madagascar and Mexico<\/li>\n<li><strong>Tundra:<\/strong> Iceland, Northern Japan, Southern Norway, and Sweden<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Unfortunately, this is the only form made available for Scarlet and Violet, as it won&#8217;t be able to evolve into other forms in-game. The only difference amongst all Vivillon patterns is its visual appearance, including varying colors and unique designs.<\/p>\n<p>These visual designs are due to the Pok&eacute;mon&#8217;s habitats, which have a broad range of environmental conditions. <a href=\"https:\/\/bulbapedia.bulbagarden.net\/wiki\/Vivillon_(Pok%C3%A9mon)\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\">According to the notable Pok&eacute;mon database, Bulbapedia<\/a>, the available Vivillon patterns can be acquired by visiting one or all of its locations and regions they&#8217;ve detailed in Pok&eacute;mon GO.<\/p>\n<p>It appears that all Spewda caught will evolve to the Fancy Form Vivillon exclusively for Scarlet and Violet, regardless of your geographic location.
